The Asociación Mexicana de Pediatría (AMP) founded in 1976, is made up of pediatric schools, societies and associations. The first organizations that made up the AMP were: the Mexican Pediatric Society, the Association of Physicians of the Hospital Infantil de México "Federico Gómez", the Medical Association of Children's Hospitals of the Department of the Federal District Medical Services (DDF) and the Society Mexican of Pediatric Nurses. Vision and Mission: • Work with National and International Professional Organizations to offer Quality Continuing Medical Education and promote medical research, improving the preparation of medical personnel for the benefit of the Health of pediatric patients, and advise and collaborate with authorities and society. • Improve the standards of Continuing Medical Education and Research and become a benchmark at a national and international level and strengthen advice to authorities and society. The AMP is an association made up of 16 medical societies and associations, with the objective of producing and disseminating knowledge, as well as supporting national and international guidelines that have an impact on improving child and adolescent health and representing national pediatrics to international level.
