Association of Hungarian Primary Care Paediatrician was founded in 1995 as a professional and advocacy organization for about 1,600 home pediatricians working in the country at the time. It strive to eliminate inequalities in care, to professionally and economically strengthen pediatric practices, and to create the institutional background of home pediatric medicine that is still lacking. Association representatives perform outstanding work in the domestic and international organizations of primary care and pediatrics.
