Danish Paediatric Society (or) Dansk Paediatrisk Selskab (DPS) is the professional association of Danish paediatricians with a purpose to promote scientific and practical development within pediatrics in Denmark. Vision for the Danish Pediatric Society is to provide all children and young people in Denmark to have equal access to treatment according to the best international medical standards, taking into account their special needs. Mission for the Danish Pediatric Society: • The company's purpose is to promote scientific and practical development in pediatrics in Denmark • DPS supports the dissemination of uniform evidence-based treatment of the highest standard • based on the latest knowledge • Children and adolescents differ from adults, but require specialized professional approach and treatment • DPS works to ensure that everyone who treats children and young people has the necessary pediatric care • education and associated competencies as well as for the use, visibility and strengthening of pediatric professionalism • DPS works to ensure that the approach to and treatment of the child and young person as a patient is organized individually in recognition of the individual child or young person's physical, cognitive, developmental and social situation • DPS supports interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral collaboration that contributes to children and youth health.
