The German Migraine and Headache Society (or) Deutsche Migräne- und Kopfschmerz-Gesellschaft e.V. was founded in 1979 by a group of committed headache scientists and today has around 500 members, mainly neurologists, anesthetists and general practitioners, but also psychologists, physiotherapists and pharmacologists. Purpose of the Society: 1. The society is an interdisciplinary association of scientists who conduct research in the field of migraines and other forms of headache. The company's task is to promote, research, apply research results and provide medical training in this area 2. The organization of scientific conferences 3. Joint planning of research projects 4. Maintaining connections with other scientific societies 5. Publications from the area of interest of the company 6. Promotion of an exchange of scientific information between the members, possibly in meetings of small research and working groups 7. The promotion of continuing medical education
