The Japan Pediatric Society (JPS) was established in 1896, as the same day as the founding meeting of the Pediatric Research Society. The Japanese Society of Pediatrics promotes the progress and development of research on pediatrics and pediatric medicine, promotes mutual exchanges among members, enhances pediatric medicine, improves children's health, human rights and welfare, and disseminates and enlightens them to society.
