Norwegian Asthma and Allergy Association (NAAF) founded on January 24, 1960, is an international organization for everyone who is concerned with preventive health with approximately 14,000 members. The main objectives of the association are to strengthened research efforts to find the causes of ever-increasing incidence - to be able to implement the right preventive measures. The Asthma and Allergy Association works to slow down the increasing development of asthma, allergies and hypersensitivity diseases, and for those who have the diseases to be able to live with them as best as possible. NAAF works politically with many issues and in several arenas. Among other things, NAAF seeks to get the government to introduce a ten-year national asthma and allergy program as part of the work to slow down the strong development of asthma and allergies. Such a program has yielded good results in Finland. One of the things NAAF closely monitors is that the offer of treatment trips for children is maintained, for the benefit of the children. Food allergies and intolerances are a growing problem in the population, and one of NAAF's main focus areas is to help enable concrete change and improvement of the situation for people with food allergies and / or other intolerances to food.
