Pediatrie Switzerland, which is now called Pediatrics Switzerland (Pädiatrie Schweiz), was founded in 1901 in Olten, under the presidency of Prof. Eduard Hagenbach from Basel. The Association mission is geared towards the welfare of children in Switzerland. It is at the service of all prospective and practicing Paediatrists; in children's hospitals and pediatric practices; in German-speaking Switzerland, French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino. Goals of Pediatrics Switzerland: • A high-quality further education to become a specialist • A future-oriented training after receiving the specialist title • Adequate pediatric care • An effective health prevention • Good legal framework
