The Romanian Society of Gastroenterology and Pediatric Hepatology (or) Societatea Română de Gastroenterologie şi Hepatologie Pediatrică (SRGHP) is a non-patrimonial, apolitical association, independent of state or political bodies, established by the free consent of its members and acting in compliance with the laws in force in Romania and in accordance with the Company Statute. The purpose of SRGHP is to promote all actions aimed at diagnosis, treatment, follow-up of patients with gastroenterological and hepatological diseases and associated diseases, along with their social integration. SRGHP objectives: 1. supporting and developing the existing bases of diagnosis and treatment 2. courses, practical training courses, publications on gstroenterology and hepatology conducted in clinics or other hospitals in the country 3. the publication of the magazine Jurnalul Român de Pediatrie, with a quarterly publication and of some informative materials for health education purposes 4. protection of the health of children with gastroenterological and hepatological diseases through the purchase of medicines, medical investigative equipment, periodic checks 5. setting up special prizes, scholarships for special activities in this field 6. health information and education activities 7. permanent contacts with the Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology of Adults and with societies of pediatric gastroenterology in other countries 8. collaboration with pediatric clinics in the country and abroad, especially with those with a gastroenterology profile in order to establish joint research programs, exchanges of experience
