Spanish Association of Paediatrics (or) Asociación Española de Pediatría (AEP) objectives are: • Carrying out teaching activities, as well as financing studies, scholarships and research on topics related to Pediatrics, health promotion or any other related to the life of children and adolescents, as well as their environments • The direct development of activities and scientific research related to Pediatrics • The promotion of the periodic attendance of specialists in Pediatrics through the organization and holding of conferences, courses, conference cycles, study sessions, activities related to the continuous training of specialists in Pediatrics or any other means of possible effectiveness for the achievement of an exchange of knowledge in the field of the aforementioned Specialty that allows generalization among the professionals who dedicate themselves to the latest scientific advances in the field • The preparation, edition, publication and distribution, free or free, of books, magazines, brochures, audiovisual material and multimedia material, related to the objectives defined in sections a, b and c above. The AEP is committed to defending the Spanish model of pediatric care, which guarantees that Spanish children and adolescents are cared for by pediatricians at all levels of care. The AEP has 15 committees of experts through which the opinion of the AEP is transmitted in the different areas of competence.
