Spanish Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (or) Sociedad Española de Gastroenterología, Hepatología y Nutrición Pediátrica is a non-profit scientific association. The Society purposes are: 1. Promote the study of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition and establish the bases that allow improving the knowledge of any of the problems that, in one way or another, affect these aspects of Pediatrics. 2. Encourage the dissemination of scientific knowledge and applied techniques in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, not only among pediatricians specifically dedicated to these activities, but also among general pediatricians. 3. Establish and procure as many measures as appropriate for the development of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Units in the different Departments and Services of Pediatrics of the Spanish State and for the qualification of their medical personnel. 4. Coordinate the scientific activities of gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition in the pediatric field at the national level, through exchanges and establishments of training courses, with planning of the general lines of clinical action and research on Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. 5. Connect people, institutions and national and international organizations dedicated to the study of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, establishing the precise links, as long as these statutes are respected. 6. Promote the development of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition as a specialty, seek the maximum integration of professionals dedicated to its study and exercise and defend the interests of the specialty and its members.
