Turkish Pediatric Association (or) Turk Pediatri Kurumu (TPK) was established in 1930 at Istanbul with its first president, Prof. Dr. Kadri Raşit Anday, his general secretary Prof. Dr. Sezai Bedrettin Tümay. The Turkish Pediatric Association, which is at the service of pediatricians, deals with the issues related to the social problems of our children as well as their health. The situation of the children in Turkey and the world, the right of the child to health care, pediatrics and ethics, children dying of war, hunger, poverty and bigotry, child brides, modern education, child workers, child abuse, children and violence Issues such as disabled children were discussed in Turkish Pediatrics Congresses.
